Mask making or buying

Afternoon again. Here is information from Laura from Bredon Hill Bags for NHS regarding mask making or purchase.

'Would you like a Fabric Face Mask?

Bredon Hill Bags for NHS Group have been working closely with the Faceit team, who have been providing thousands of FABRIC MASKS/Coverings for key workers, including for Bredon Hill Surgery staff

They are funding the free masks for key workers by also selling masks to anyone who wants one. They’re offering 2 masks for a £5 donation - any extra proceeds go to Refuge & Crisis charities.

If you would like to purchase a mask, We have COLLECTION points in BREDON, KEMERTON & ASHTON UNDER HILL - so masks will be available locally to order. Please get in touch with ME directly (rather than contacting Faceit team) by commenting on our page or sending me a PM!

Payment will be via the GoFundMe account, and mask designs will be potluck!

*The Faceit team are making no profits at all from the sales of masks. Masks are fabric as suggested by the government for the general public, not medical grade.*

Village Just Giving page

After many residents asked how they could repay our brilliant Volunteer Team for their support during this time, the Social Centre have set up a Just Giving Page for donations.

The team have said they do not need payment! So, any funds raised will be used for deserving causes during or after the current situation. Over £300 has been raised so far, so thank you everyone. Here is the link if you would like to donate.

A sight for sore eyes

We thought you would love seeing this gorgeous film of our hill, taken by Andy Tinsley with permission from Overbury Enterprises to fly the drones. Andy says he hopes it will help those who are suffering Bredon Hill withdrawal symptoms, and after watching it, I am sure you will agree! Thank you, Andy!

Sharing Happiness with the First School

Acorn Class, the youngest class at the First School, have been busy drawing happiness! Here is a little video gallery. They are also sharing it with local care homes and other places that may need cheering up. They hope you enjoy them!

Ashton's Mobile Post Office service

Couple of people have asked whether our mobile post office van is still coming to Ashton during lockdown. David, who 'mans the van' has assured me he will be coming as normal as follows..

Tuesdays & Thursdays 12:30 to 1:30pm in the Chapel car park.

David has strict social distancing measures in place, with a temporary counter near the entrance to the van and a card machine placed there. David has told me he is sanitising everything regularly. If there is a queue, people have sensibly been waiting in different places near the van observing the 2m rule.

Everyone who knows him will agree that David is a really nice man and another key worker who deserves our thanks.

Excellent Easter Egg Competition Results are in!

Judging has taken place and winners all received an Amazon voucher this morning. First School had over 40 entrants (😃) and we would like to try and publish them to the gallery, here and on the website. This might take a few days as Mrs Peacey is having a well earned rest! In the meantime, here are the winners and 'judge's comments'. Well done everyone!
