Morning everyone. Harvest Festival took place yesterday at St Barbara’s. Here are a few pictures showing how the church was decorated with thanks to Judith Hunter, Doreen Parsons and Joan Richmond. A huge amount of food was donated for ‘Caring Hands in the Vale’ and they will be collecting it later in the week. The St Barbara’s team are tremendously grateful to everyone in the village who gave so generously, including the First School children and parents. They raised £54 in the collection for Caring Hands; who need all the help they can get at present when the demand for their services is so high.
Ashton First School children made the amazing Harvest banner you can see in the photos, and they also provided some unique recipes for pumpkin ice cream! Their work will be on display in the church on its opening days of Wednesday, Friday and Sunday if anyone would like to browse there.
