Hello, I’m Sarah Hewitt. I have been in Cottons Lane for 6 years now, living with my husband Alan and our 3 teenage daughters, 2 cats and a dog! It’s a busy house, but I also take an active role in the community and enjoy the sociable aspects of the village too. I have been a director of a variety of businesses over the past 25 years, and am currently enjoying an extended break from work. I am the Parish Council Chair and enjoy finding ways to deliver the requirements of the role, whilst trying to make improvements around the village. You can contact me on 07770 942144 or by email to CllrSmithAUH@outlook.com.
Hello. I’m Karen Rowley. I live ‘by the telephone box’ in the Old Post House (or officially Old Post Office!). My other half is Paul and (with currently one of our three children) we have lived in the village for 10 years. I work part time as a personal trainer, run our self catering barn and when I can, spend time cycling and walking. I’m Deputy Chair of the PC and my main role is communications councillor. I also have responsibility for PACT, the Police and Community Network. You can contact me on 07976 906653 or email@example.com.
Hello, I’m Doreen Cope and I have lived in the village all my life. I have two sons, Sam and Matthew. I have a lovely granddaughter, Sam’s daughter Ava. As well as serving on the Parish Council (for more than 30 years!), I am also on the ASC committee and run ‘Busy Fingers’, our village mother and baby group. You might also see me in the mornings delivering papers around the village, a job I’ve been doing for many years!
Hello, my name is Nikki McIntyre. I have lived in Ashton for 14 years with husband Colin, 3 teenage kids and 3 dogs. We have been very slowly renovating our house at the top of Cottons Lane for the whole of that time and have finally finished. I work as Business Development Manager for a large fresh produce business. Any spare time usually involves ferrying children around, but in between I walk a lot, read as much as I can and potter in my kitchen. As a councillor I am responsible for parish trees and footpaths.
Hello, I’m Simon Hague. I have lived in the village since 1994 and also attended both schools here. I have twin daughters, Beth and Laura. I live on Elmley Rd with my other half Nicky. I have two businesses, Farm & Gardens and Rustic & Retro (ask me about the latter!). I am second longest serving councillor at 11 years. You can ask me about most things ‘Ashton’ and I will probably know the answer, along with my fellow councillor, Doreen!
Hello, I’m Jayne Barker. I am married to Bob and have lived in Ashton for 27 years. I have always lived in villages and strongly believe in protecting and supporting our rural communities. We have three daughters who attended both schools in the village. We recently became grandparents which we are very happy about! When I have any spare time you can find me in the garden or sewing. My role on the council is communications support along with Karen.
Hello, I’m Michelle English. I have been Clerk to the Parish Council for 6 years. I am also Clerk to Peopleton, Defford & Besford and Twyning Parish Councils and am Wychavon District Councillor for Fladbury. I am here to provide information and advice to the councillors as well as taking care of the administrative of the Parish Council. I am married with 4 children, two of whom attend BHA, and I live in Evesham.
