Many of you may be aware of the very sad news that the beautiful copper beech tree in St Barbara’s churchyard looks to be approaching the end of its long life. The tree has been estimated to be around 250 years old, so has seen many generations of village lives pass under its branches.
St Barbara’s Church Committee has asked us to send you the attached letter about the tree. Please also find link to the detailed survey and report that was carried out. They would be happy to receive your ideas on how to keep the memory of the tree alive, more details in the letter.
